Once you have registered with us, you can purchase our audio guides. Having paid for your order, you can return directly to our site from a link on the PayPal payment page and start the download of your guide(s). Alternatively, you will receive an email from us, with a link back to our site. Having logged back into your account with Iconic Guides, you will be able to download the guide(s) within 72 hours of your purchase.
Each downloadable guide comes as a zipped folder, which contains the MP3 audio files and a pdf-version of the site plan
When downloading a guide, you will be asked to save the zipped folder to the hard drive of your computer. Please note that the zipped folders can be large and may take a few minutes to download to your computer.
Select a convenient place on your hard drive in which to save the folder, e.g., in ‘My Documents’ or ‘My Music’.
Once the folder is safely stored on your computer, you will need to unzip its contents. To do this, right click on the folder and select ‘extract all files’ (Windows) or ‘Open’ (Mac). Most computers now come with software that allows files to be unzipped automatically. If you don’t have the necessary software, you can obtain free software from the likes of www.winzip.com (Windows) and www.stuffit.com (Mac)
Once unzipped, a new folder will be created containing the MP3 audio files and a copy of the pdf site plan.
The audio files can now be copied across to your iPod, iPhone, MP3 player or any other MP3-compatible audio device, such as a mobile phone.
Audio files can be copied/pasted or drag/dropped into your iTunes library or another MP3 players such as ‘Windows Media Player’
Before you go, print off the pdf-version of the site plan. If you require a copy of Adobe’s Reader, then you can download the latest version from www.adobe.com/products/reader/
Each site plan is marked with a series of numbered locations that correspond to the audio files of that particular guide. When you arrive at a desired location at the site you’re visiting, go to the relevant number and press play on your audio device.
